As one of the leading, independent European test laboratories for electrochemical energy storage systems, we carry out tests on the following technical systems for you:
Lithium batteries
- Lithium starter batteries
- Lithium batteries for applications in the traction sector (electric cars and other electric vehicles) or in stationary / fixed systems (power storage, UPS systems, ...)

Electrical tests:
Single cells: voltage range 0 - 5 V; current max. +/- 2000 A
Modules: voltage range 0 - 60 V; current max. +/- 500 A
Packs: voltage range 0 - 500 V; current max. +/- 200 A
Mechanical tests: Pressure and tensile tests, vibration tests, altitude simulation, etc.
Safety and abuse tests: Nail test, crush test, drop test, overcharge, short circuit and deep discharge
Lead batteries
- 12V lead-acid starter batteries, in wet battery (SLI), enhanced flooded battery (EFB / EFB+ / AFB), absorbent glass mat (AGM / AGM+) and gel technologies
- 12V block batteries (AGM, OPzS, OPzV, GroE, ...), for applications in the traction sector, or in stationary / fixed storage systems
- 2V lead-acid single cells and series connections of single cells, up to a max. total voltage of 60V
- Nickel metal hydride (NiMH) and nickel cadmium (NiCd) and nickel sodium chloride (NiNaCl 2) single cells and series connections of single cells, up to a max. total system voltage of 500V
Button cells and single cells:
- all types of button cells, including rechargeable cells
- all types of single cells (round cells, prismatic cells, pouch cells)
High voltage (HV) tests:
- Determination of the dielectric strength / breakdown strength, insulation resistance and leakage current determination of / on components and materials (e.g. for use in electric motors, electric vehicles, equipment from the operation of electrical networks, components of photovoltaic systems, etc.)
Alternating voltage (AC) test up to 7kV - Test with direct voltage (DC), up to 2kV
